Five days will get you a taste. Ten gives you a story. Fourteen rearranges your relationship with altitude.
Annapurna
Circuit.
The pre-monsoon window is open and the rhododendrons are blooming. The Annapurna Circuit traces the Marsyangdi river upstream from lowland subtropics, climbs to the wind-scoured pass of Thorong La (5,416 m), and descends into the rain-shadow valley of Mustang. Road encroachment has shortened the classic itinerary but the high section between Manang and Muktinath remains one of the great walks in the Himalaya..
"If you only do one big walk in Nepal, do this one. The day you cross the pass, you become a different trekker."
We won't sell you a trek for next week. We won't hide the bad months. We won't rank guides by commission.
We will tell you if your timeline is too short, if the pass you want is closed, or if your fitness needs another six months. We will tell you what permits actually cost and where to get them without an agency markup.
If we don't know, we'll say so — and put you in touch with someone walking the route this week.
